Art Inspiration for DIY Jewelry: Woman with a Parasol – Madame Money and Her Son, 1875

This striking painting by the beloved French painter Claude Monet has always held a special place in my heart. The subjects are Monet’s own family, his wife Camille and son Jean. It is said that he most likely painted this outdoors, in one session, in 1875. He must have been working quickly to capture such a beautiful moment with the wind blowing and the shadows dancing on the wildflowers. There is a sense of serenity and calm that this painting invokes and when choosing a bead palette to match it, we can aim to maintain that same sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this exploration into finding color and bead inspiration through artwork! This is the second one we have done and more are to follow. For more inspiration, please check out our first Art Inspiration post featuring Van Gogh’s Olive Trees with Yellow Sky and Sun.
